Starting on May 5th, 9 consecutive Mondays at 6.30pm
Meeting in Millhouses Park grass next to the boating lake
The plan involves 3 runs a week, with a day of rest in between, and a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks. Totley AC run leaders will support you through the 9 week programme which involves 1 group session every Monday and 2 sessions each week that you will do independently. We will be using the NHS app so you will need to download this onto your phone before the start of the course. You will find more info on the website – Get running with Couch to 5K – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
The course is open to everyone from complete beginners to those returning to running and wanting to build up to 5K. Over 18s only. Participants should be fit and well in order to participate. If you have any health concerns about beginning an exercise regime like Couch to 5K, make an appointment to see a GP and discuss it with them before applying.

The course will complete with Millhouses parkrun for the C25K Graduation Parkrun on July 5

Beyond the 5k
Sessions take place every Monday evening. In the winter we meet at the bus stop next to Waggon & Horses at Millhouses – Google map location
Once the clocks go forward we will meet outside the cafe in Millhouses Park.
These sessions are perfect for those looking to improve their 5k to 10k time and distance abilities. Sessions will be a mix of long runs, split runs, intervals, fartlek, hills etc.
All runs will be concentrate on building endurance but some will include tempo (sections at a steadier pace), fartlek (faster intervals) or the Sheffield favourite Hills!
