The 2026 club championship builds on the success of last year with a mix of road, trail and fell, with distances from 5k to half-marathon means there’s something for everyone.
We’ve tried to ensure the championship is accessible to all Totley runners. 7 of the races cost £10 or less to enter, there are weekend and mid-week dates, and most races are local enough to cycle (or run) to.
Format
- 10 races. Maximum 7 to count, minimum 4 to qualify.
- Scoring based on overall gender position of Totley runners.
- Complete 7 or more races to be included in a raffle to win something amazing!
- Prizes for overall male/female and 5-year age categories from V40, based on your age at 1st January.
- To score points you must wear your club vest at races, be listed on the results as Totley AC and marshal at a Totley series race or Two Turtle Doves in 2026.
- You must be first claim Totley AC

1. Whirlow Steel City Trail 10k
Sunday 15th Feb @ 9.30am. Registration 8.30am onwards in the car park below Whirlow Brook Hall.
What to expect: A friendly, low key, 3-lap trail race in Whirlow Woods. Trail/fell shoes are best. Entry is £2 cash.

2. Sheffield Half Marathon
Sunday 29th March @ 9.30am. Pre-entry only. £39/£41.
What to expect: Cheering crowds, lots of runners, hills, headwinds, tailwinds. 37 Totleys ran last year.

3. Dronfield 10k
Sunday 19th April @ 10am. Pre-entry only. £23/£25.
What to expect: A fast, friendly, local road 10k which is always popular with Totley runners (44 last year despite the weather). Good for spectators too.

4. Hallam Chase
Tuesday 26th May @ 7.30pm
What to expect: A friendly, 3.5 mile fell handicap race. The oldest continuously run fell race in the world.

5. Calver Peak Fell Race
Wednesday 3rd June @ 7.30pm. Pre-entry £8.50 / EOD £10.
What to expect: 8k on footpaths & bridleways, so more of a trail race really. A good choice for your 1st fell race.
6. Hathersage Gala Fell Race
Monday 6th July @ 7.30pm. Full entry 2025 details tbc. Usually £8 online or £10 EOD.
What to expect: A proper evening fell race with a decent climb and fast, rocky descent. Fell/trail shoes are best.

Sunday 6th December @ 9.30am. Enter online in September. Always spare places available in November!
What to expect: Lots of Totley runners! A fast, out-and-back road 10k with a small hill. See you all there!
