Participation, Competition, Camaraderie and Beautiful Green<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The races have been selected for the 2024 Totley Championships and the aim is to fill these races with as many Totley vests and shirts as possible. We\u2019ll have prizes for age category, recognition for participation and we hope it will encourage participation, participation and participation.

Whether you can just run one race or can get along to all the races we hope you\u2019ll sign up to these races that our ace championship committee have carefully selected. We\u2019ve sought to select events that are mostly easy to gain entry, are local and have a variety of road, fell and trail. The fell races selected are all suitable for first time fell runners aswell
as giving our faster runners something to get their teeth into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All you need to do to be part of this year\u2019s Totley Championships jamboree is enter four races.

We\u2019re asking everyone to volunteer at one of our 6 Totley series fell races aswell to be part of the championship.

Roll Up! Roll Up make 2024 another year where the gorgeous green colours the racing course of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Race Diary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

25th February<\/strong> – Steel City Trail 10k, Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve (Leg 5 of SWR runs through these woods)

7th April<\/strong> – Sheffield Half Marathon – Sheffield\u2019s big city running event.

28th April <\/strong>– Dronfield 10k – a friendly cracker of a 10km raising cash for the local scouts.

5th June <\/strong>– Loxley Lash 5k (date tbc) – what it says on the tin.

21st June<\/strong> – Tideswell Fell Race – just over 4 miles and not to hilly, a perfect first fell race or a beaut for a competitive fast race.

1st July <\/strong>– Hathersage Gala Fell Race – 4.5 miles of fell fun in the blazing evening sunshine.

27th August <\/strong>– Eyam Fell Race – 6 miles of a fell race that\u2019s along trails amongst the stunning purple heather strewn bumps around Eyam.

26th October<\/strong> – Parkrun Challenge, Monsal – it a run not a race, well not today.

10th November<\/strong> – Leg it Round Lathkill (Trail) (date tbc) – 7.1 miles and it might just be lots of muddy fun.

1st December<\/strong> – Percy Pud 10k You\u2019ll need to be quick off the mark to get entry into this classic Sheffield 10k. It fills quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. One championship this year, mixture of trail, fell and road. Prizes awarded in the following categories: Overall M\/F and then 5 year age cats from V40. Age as at 1st Jan 2024.

  2. Anyone wishing to enter the 2024 Club Championship must marshal \/ volunteer at a Totley Series race (or Two Turtle Doves) in 2024 and complete a minimum of 4 of the 10 races. However, the more you do, the more points you get!

  3. Scoring: Overall gender position out of Totley AC runners only. Your best 8 scores, out 10, will count from either trail\/road category.

  4. Anyone who completes 8 races or more goes into a raffle to win a BIG!! prize.
