{"id":76,"date":"2021-03-21T02:20:53","date_gmt":"2021-03-21T02:20:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.totleyac.org.uk\/2021_wp\/?page_id=76"},"modified":"2026-04-01T15:07:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T14:07:35","slug":"club-championship","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/totleyac.org.uk\/2021_wp\/club-championship\/","title":{"rendered":"Club CHAMPIONSHIP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The 2026 club championship builds on the success of last year with a mix of road, trail and fell, with distances from 5k to half-marathon means there\u2019s something for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve tried to ensure the championship is accessible to all Totley runners. 7 of the races cost \u00a310 or less to enter, there are weekend and mid-week dates, and most races are local enough to cycle (or run) to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Format<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10 races. Maximum 7 to count, minimum 4 to qualify.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scoring based on overall gender position of Totley runners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete 7 or more races to be included in a raffle to win something amazing!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prizes for overall male\/female and 5-year age categories from V40, based on your age at 1<sup>st<\/sup> January.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To score points you must wear your club vest at races, be listed on the results as Totley AC and marshal at a Totley series race or Two Turtle Doves in 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must be first claim Totley AC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 Results so far!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<span class=\"links-btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.totleyac.org.uk\/Champs\/2026\/Champs_M+F.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Men &#038; Women<\/a><\/span>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 Races<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Whirlow Steel City Trail 10k<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday 15<sup>th<\/sup> Feb @ 9.30am. Registration 8.30am onwards in the car park below Whirlow Brook Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What to expect<\/em>: A friendly, low key, 3-lap trail race in Whirlow Woods. Trail\/fell shoes are best. Sheffield Half Marathon<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday 29<sup>th<\/sup> March @ 9.30am. Dronfield 10k<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday 19<sup>th<\/sup> April @ 10am. Pre-entry only. \u00a323\/\u00a325.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What to expect<\/em>: <\/strong>A fast, friendly, local road 10k which is always popular with Totley runners (44 last year despite the weather). Hallam Chase<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday 26<sup>th<\/sup> May @ 7.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What to expect<\/em>: <\/strong>A friendly, 3.5 mile fell handicap race. The oldest continuously run fell race in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehallamchase.org.uk\/wp\/\">https:\/\/thehallamchase.org.uk\/wp\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Calver Peak Fell Race<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> June @ 7.30pm. Pre-entry \u00a38.50 \/ EOD \u00a310.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What to expect<\/em>: 8k on footpaths &amp; bridleways, so more of a trail race really. A good choice for your 1<sup>st<\/sup> fell race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.calverpeak.co.uk\/index.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.calverpeak.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.
