Stage 3
Bamford Station (148m) to Hathersage Station (145m) via Stanage High Neb (458m)
Approx. 10.5km and 380m climb
This stage starts with a run up the road from the station to Bamford village, passing the Anglers’ Rest cafe. Bamford Clough is a steep and direct way to get you near the top of Bamford Edge, from where there is a well used direct path to Stanage Edge and the High Neb trig point. After a beautiful run along Stanage follow the stepped path down through the plantation and past North Lees campsite to Hathersage (cafes). The ticket machine is in the station carpark.
