Stage 2

Hope Station (161m) to Bamford Station (148m) via Win Hill (462m)
Approx. 7.4km and 300m climb

The shortest stage of the whole challenge starts by crossing the bridge between platforms and taking the track to the right at the bottom of the steps. This takes you to a footpath across fields to Aston where a right turn along the road takes you past Aston Hall and to a track signed towards Win Hill. If you are lucky with the weather and visibility there are fabulous views over the reservoirs and towards Kinder from the top. On the way down look for a path dropping to the left that takes you to the Thornhill footpath and a crossing of the Thornhill Trail. There is a short road section before you take the first signpost to the station and the ticket machine on Platform 2.Downloads
